- The menthol ban comes into force from 20th May 2020
- The ban applies to all menthol cigarettes, including cigarettes which contain capsules with a mint flavour.
- The menthol ban does not apply to e-cigarettes
Why are menthol cigarettes being banned now?
The menthol ban comes from the European Union’s Tobacco Products Directive. They have banned all cigarettes and hand rolling tobacco products that contain a characterising flavour.
This became part of the English Law through the Tobacco and Related Product Regulations 2016. The new law deferred the ban of menthol cigarettes until May 20th 2020. From this date, menthol cigarettes can no longer be sold in the UK.
Where do menthol smokers go now?
Menthol cigarettes will be banned but menthol vape products will remain unaffected.

Do you want to use 0MG - 3MG?
If so, the Aspire PockeX is perfect for you. It's a small vape with big power. The Aspire PockeX is so simple to use. To replace the coil or fill the tank, you'll simply unscrew the mouthpiece from the top of the device. If you're filling the tank, add e-liquid until the level reaches the top fill line on the side of the tank. If you're replacing the coil, unscrew the old coil and screw in a new one. That's it!
